Coach Dawn
Dawn McAllister
Originally from Missouri, Coach Dawn grew up playing a variety of sports, but softball has always held a special place in her heart. She played throughout her childhood and high school years and continued playing in co-ed leagues during college. Her love for athletics and working with young people ultimately led her to earn a degree in K–12 Health & Physical Education from Missouri State University. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, Dawn brings an educator's perspective to the softball field, combining her knowledge of the game with years of experience helping young people learn and grow. After moving to Georgia and becoming a mom, she found an opportunity to reconnect with the sport she has loved throughout her life, this time from the coaching side. Coach Dawn's priority is developing well-rounded athletes rather than measuring success solely by wins, rings, or trophies. She takes seriously the trust families place in her and strives to be a source of encouragement, support, and growth for every athlete she coaches.
Coach Dawn's philosophy is simple: try your best and have fun. She coaches her team like an extension of her family and believes that when athletes show up ready to work hard, give their best effort, and enjoy the game, the results will follow.
