Coach Chip
Chip Kerr
Coach Chip was born in East Tennessee and raised in Conyers, Georgia, where a lifelong love of athletics and competition began. A multi-sport athlete, he competed in youth baseball, high school football, and golf, developing an early appreciation for versatility, toughness, and strong fundamentals. His connection to fastpitch softball also runs in the family. His father coached one of eastern Georgia’s early travel softball programs, while his sister went on to play collegiately at Columbus College, now Columbus State University. A U.S. Navy veteran, Chip brings the leadership, accountability, teamwork, and discipline developed through his military service into his approach to coaching. After his service, he continued his education at Ivy Tech Community College and IUPUI in Indianapolis before eventually returning home to Georgia. With more than 15 years of coaching experience, Chip has worked with young athletes across multiple sports, including youth football, baseball, and fastpitch softball. His softball coaching experience includes programs in Senoia and Peachtree City, where he coached athletes from 6U through 12U. His teams became consistent championship contenders, earning five championship appearances and capturing two titles before Chip transitioned into travel softball. For more than 23 years, Chip and his family have called Senoia home. He and his wife, Paige, have three children, Trey, Megan, and Sophia, and share a strong connection to sports, teamwork, and their community.
Coach Chip believes in developing confident, fundamentally sound athletes through hard work, resilience, discipline, accountability, and teamwork. His goal is to build a strong team culture that feels like family while preparing athletes to succeed both on and off the field.
