About

West Georgia Nightmare Assistant Coach (WGN 14U 2030 / WGN 8U) o Catchers, infielders, offensive/defensive strategies, base coach o Heard County Recreation (2018, 2020-2024) o West Georgia Rampage (2022-2023) o Magic 12U/14U (2023-2024) o West Georgia Nightmare (2025-present) Born and raised in Senoia, Georgia, Coach Justin grew up playing baseball and football at East Coweta High School — primarily as a catcher and utility infielder on the diamond, and an offensive lineman on the field. Following his first semester at Southern Polytechnic State University, he left to pursue a career in public safety to be close to his family — a decision shaped by the loss of his father, his hero. He continued competing in men's league softball and played football with the Atlanta Defenders of the NPSFL. Outside of the field, he enjoys hunting and time with family. His brother Jarrod coaches football and baseball at Carrollton High School, and his sister-in-law Kelsey is the head softball coach at Shorter University. His mother Debby and stepfather Mike — known to the girls as Maw Maw and Paw Paw — are proud Nightmare supporters. Justin is married to his wife Lena, and together they are proud parents of Olivia and Allie — both members of the Nightmare organization. Olivia also plays softball and runs track for her school. The family calls Heard County home.

Coaching Philosophy

Play every day like it could be your last on the field — because eventually it will be. Don't be afraid to fail. This is a game of failure, and failure is where development lives. Never be satisfied with yesterday's performance. Carry the mindset that you will outwork everyone, because no one will outwork you.
