Coach Maggie

Maggie is a LaGrange native who began playing travel softball at nine years old, competing with the Georgia Challengers and Easton College Prep organizations. She went on to play all four years at Troup County High School before earning a softball scholarship to Georgia Southwestern State University. During her collegiate career, Maggie was a member of Georgia Southwestern’s historic 2025 Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship team. She was also selected for the President Jimmy Carter Leadership Program, where she further developed her personal leadership skills and strengths. Maggie graduated in July 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and plans to pursue a career in physical therapy. While completing summer internships during college, Maggie began giving private softball lessons in Americus as a way to stay connected to the game. Teaching younger athletes reignited her own passion for softball and ultimately helped make her senior season one of her most rewarding. Now, she enjoys using her playing experience, education in human movement, and love for the game to help develop the next generation of athletes.

Maggie believes developing a love for the game is just as important as developing the skills to play it. Her approach emphasizes proper and powerful movement, mental toughness, and helping young athletes understand their bodies so they can perform confidently and safely. Her goal is to develop strong, resilient athletes who truly love playing the game.
